Abstract
Densities and heat capacities per unit volume of binary mixtures of dimethylformamide and a series of di- n-alkylacetamides have been measured and converted into excess molar volumes and heat capacities of the mixtures. In addition, the apparent and partial molar volumes and heat capacities of the various components have been evaluated. They vary smoothly with the mole fraction. The apparent molar heat capacities in the mixtures depend linearly on volume fraction, so that the partial molar heat capacities can be described using only one parameter for each mixture.
