Abstract

Experimental data on the volume expansion of polyethylene with various degrees of crystallinity in the temperature range — 100–200°C have shown that the melting and glass transition points and the temperature interval between them, the width of the temperature interval of melting and the volume change during melting depend on the degree of crystallinity of the material and the degree of branching of its molecules.
