Abstract
In this study, a simple V-shaped cavity Ti:sapphire laser setup is developed using a volume Bragg grating (VBG) as the folding mirror. The laser can reach single longitudinal mode operation with an output power of up to 30 mW and a tunability exceeding 70 nm. The unexpected asymmetric reduction observed in the VBG reflectivity is discussed.
