Abstract

Abstract A voltage control scheme for a magnetically coupled dual bridge inverter with a single star-delta-star three-phase transformer has been investigated. The output waveform is devoid of all harmonic components up to the eleventh. The scheme has the advantage that there are only two commutations for each inverter arm per half cycle and the transformer requires a single core. However, the transformer utilization factor is poor. The control scheme has been experimentally verified.
