Abstract
The essay is about a music video applied to montage and collage of film theory, combined with visual code in Taiwan culture and animation filled with Eastern image, from spiritual philosophy.Combination of documentary videos from Philosophizing in Religion and through the video, deeper thought would be conveyed. At the present time, there are fixed styles and contents in most popular hip-hop music videos in the world. Therefore, I, as a writer of the essay, by means of styles in cinema language, analyze the profound meaning and try to create a music video within a whole new image language. In view of increasingly rigid styles and contents in most main stream music videos in Taiwan which lack for open and diverse thought, so I focus on creation and breakthrough during so many Market-Oriented music videos as the main issue of my study. The music video is created with a song “ Voiceless “ by local hip-hop singer ─── Chang Jui-chuan in Taiwan according the artist’s idea, based on the history and culture in Taiwan, in terms of all kinds of the appearance of things in human society. The elements of song draws on styles of hip-hop song in Western , but integrates dialects in Taiwan as the integration of Taiwan's history and culture in Eastern and Western cultures, but with special characteristics of Taiwan's general appearance at the same time. I would extend the concept of music from hearing to the visual, and arrange dependence image closely on the music genre. In addition to depend on the text of the lyrics, but also on the author's form and style, I would upgrade the content of the work into a whole deeper, metaphysical thinking. Hoping that through the creative music video could bring another thinking and feeling to the creator and the audiences.
