Abstract
On Saturday, 22 October 2022, longtime Stratford voice and text coaches Paul de Jong, Cathy MacKinnon, and Janine Pearson discussed and reflected on the role of the voice coach at the Stratford Festival with Danielle Wilson. The Stratford festival is the only festival in Canada with a coaching team, and the coaches share their thoughts on the history, value, role, and purpose of voice coaches at the festival and in what ways they serve the work of the actor. The coaches also reflect on how voice work is evolving and how we might encourage the next generation of voice coaches to enter the profession.
