Abstract
The article presents an analysis, systematization and characterization of the most important directions of Sogdiana development as a result of participation in international trade on the Great Silk Road. These aspects of this historic project are becoming increasingly important as a result of the implementation of the new Chinese initiative “One Belt, One Road”.
