Vitamin combining Yunnan Baiyao for recurrent oral ulcer

Abstract

Objective To study the clinical effect of Yunnan Baiyao combined with vitamin in the treatment of recurrent oral ulcer. Methods 126 patients with recurrent oral ulcer treated at our hospital from February, 2015 to March, 2016 were selected and randomly divided into a study group and a control group, 63 cases for each group. The control group were conventionally treated with vitamin B2, vitamin E, folic acid, etc.; in addition, the study group were treated with Yunnan Baiyao. All the patients were followed up 12 to 18 months after the treatment. The curative effect and prognosis in both groups were observed and analyzed. Results After the treatment, the total efficacy was higher and the recurrence rate was lower in the observation group than in the control group (96.83% vs. 80.95%, χ2=12.767, P<0.05; 9.52% vs. 26.98%, χ2=10.216, P=0.001). Conclusions Vitamin combining Yunnan Baiyao for recurrent oral ulcer is effective and can quickly relieve the symptoms and reduce the ulcer recurrence rate, so it is worth being clinically generalized.
