Abstract

The full propagation dynamics of a powerful ∼50 fs Ti-sapphire laser pulse is visualized for the first time in a dilute solution of Rhodamine B dissolved in methanol through two-photon fluorescence. These processes include self-focusing, group velocity dispersion, intensity clamping, self-steepening, anti-Stokes spectral broadening and multiple filaments competition.
