Abstract
A semi-organic single crystal of DL-methionine doped copper sulphate has been grown by slow evaporation solution growth technique. Lattice parameter of the grown crystal was confirmed by single crystal x-ray diffraction analysis. Vicker’s microhardness indentation tests were carriedout with the load ranging from 10-100gm. Mechanical parameters like fracture toughness (Kc), brittleness index (Bi), yield strength (σy) and elastic stiffness constant (C11) were calculated and reported.
