Abstract
Vibration behavior of uniform beams on a two-parameter elastic foundation with initial stress is studied here using the finite element formulation. Numerical results are presented for simply supported and clamped beams with various values for foundation parameters and load parameters. Load parameter is defined in terms of stability parameter. Values of stability parameter for various values of foundation parameters are also presented for the ease of reference.
