Abstract
ABSTRACT The vibration absorbers are extensively used for vibration suppression of continuous elastic structure like a beam. The purpose of this research is to present an imposing node method for vibration reduction along the span of the beam for vibration isolation of substructures modelled as lumped masses with the change in excitation frequency. The algorithm is outlined and utilised to find the required absorber resonance frequency and mass to impose node at appropriate locations. The numerical simulations and experimental tests are performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
