Abstract
The article presents the results of veterinary and sanitary assessment of the quality of quail eggs while using feed additive "Vermiculite". Three groups of birds were formed with 35 birds each. To the feed of the first (control) group the feed additive was not added, to the diets of second and third groups the vermiculite were added in the amount of 3% and 5%. The results of the veterinary and sanitary assessment of the quality and morphometric indicators of quail` eggs which fed by using feed additive "Vermiculite" omply with the requirements of regulatory documentation. The egg weight of the experimental groups is on average 5.5% higher compared to the control group. Also, the average thickness of the eggshell of the third group is 30.7% higher than in the control group. The concentration of calcium in the experimental groups was 3.5% higher and iron was 18.2% higher compared to the control group. In general, the feed additive "Vermiculite" had a positive effect on the total content of mineral elements in quail eggs.
