Abstract

The current industrial development in Russia involves intensified open-pit mining and mineral processing, which lead to environmental pollution by mining waste. In the underground and the open-pit iron ore mining, the mineral beneficiation process involves the formation of storage of waste rock, which, because of the shallow dispersion, easily gets into the atmosphere and harm the environment, contaminating the surrounding areas and agricultural land, which in turn is an important practical task. Is described the process of targeted deposition of dust particles at the outlet of the tailings, which is realized by a rational slope of the dry beach in the direction to the coastal dam. Are presented the results of computer simulation of the velocity of the air flow in the wind generated trap. Is described the mathematical model of particle transport to coastal dam and and presented the graphical dependence confirm the efficiency of the proposed technological solution of the problem of dust suppression in the tailings.
