Abstract
γ-spectra and annihilation rate parameters Zeff for positron annihilation on noble gas atoms are calculated using diagrammatic many-body perturbation theory. Corrections to the annihilation vertex, which describe short range electron-positron correlations, are found to cause significant enhancement for the inner shell orbitals. Using the ab initio theory, we calculate enhancement factors and annihilation fractions for all subshells.
