Abstract
Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has developed a versatile seal for a water treatment device that not only filters tap water, but also enriches it with minerals and, if desired, carbonic acid. As this brief focus article explains the seal, made from polyurethane (PU), is capable of accommodating the different dimensions of valves used on carbon dioxide cartridges, ensuring that flow-control components are joined with a secure seal.
