Abstract
A versatile irradiation chamber has been designed and constructed; the system allows one to safely handle radiactive materials, e.g ∞ and fission fragment sources required for irradiating dielectric track detectors. Among the studies that can be carried out are critical angle measurements, rate of energy loss, range of ∞ and fission fragments, and dip angle determinations. Several samples can be irradiated at the same time with known fluences of particles.
