Abstract
The creation of a net of seed banks allowing plant species conservation "ex situ", slowly becomes a reality in the Mediterranean basin. After the presentation of the different existing seed banks and the comparaison of different conservation techniques today in use, the author views the creation of such banks in North Africa, permitting the realisation of a circummediterranean network. Copies of the existing samples should be done to permit their conservation in 2 or 3 banks of the network.
