Abstract

A newborn presents with ventriculomegaly and multiple intracranial masses. (Figure 1) Figure 1. Figure 2. ### Prenatal and Birth Histories ### Presentation The infant was active and fed well for the first 48 hours after birth. Postnatal head ultrasonography was performed again because of prenatally diagnosed bilateral ventriculomegaly. Ultrasonography revealed 2 periventricular or intraventricular solid masses and dilatation of the occipital horn, primarily of the left lateral ventricle. Magnetic resonance imaging of the brain revealed multiple intracranial masses and cortical enhancing lesions. The infant was transferred to our neonatal intensive care unit 3 days after birth for further care and monitoring. ### Vital Signs
