Abstract
Abstract A nature reserve in the gorge of the Umgeni River below the Howick Falls in Natal was acquired by The Wildlife Society of Southern Africa in 1974. The species and numbers of animals to be stocked are suggested and an initial veld management system is proposed which should maintain the proportion of plant communities approximately constant.
