Abstract

Indian culture, full of feelings of human welfare and world welfare, is one of the oldest cultures in the world. Vedic education and culture have been praised in the country and abroad. Indian culture and education are contained in Vedic literature. A well-organized form of education is visible in Vedic literature. The main objective of education at that time was to develop good values and civilization. Through education, the all-round development of high ideals like morality, philanthropy and feeling of public welfare was to be done in human beings. The aim of the form of education during the Vedic period was to develop a high character by assimilating high ideals and ideas. Education means: learning or acquiring knowledge. Education is the natural, balanced and dynamic development of man's internal powers, which is the statement of the great educationist "Pestology".
