Abstract

The continuation in the angular momentum of theI=1 odd signature, ππ amplitude is studied for negative values of the c.m. energy squared in a model with the forces due to the exchange of an undamped vector meson. The corresponding singularN/D equations have been solved by means of the Wiener-Hopf technique and detailed numerical results have been obtained for the denominator function when the angular momentum varies between zero and one. Indications are found on the behaviour of the ρ trajectory in contrast with the predictions of preceding dynamical models.
