Abstract

This paper presents a vector control technique for voltage source inverter fed 3-phase squirrel cage induction motor with high voltage gain and two input boost stage DC-DC converter. The high gain DC-DC converter can easily achieve a gain of 20. Such a converter can individually link to VSI fed induction motor. The aim of this project is to study the open loop and closed loop or vector control of induction motor with this high gain DC-DC converter through simulations. The performance of open loop and vector control method of VSI fed induction motor with high gain DC-DC converter with V in = 12V and V out = 240V is carried out using PSIM simulation.
