Abstract

The women's craft school in Peć was founded in 1920. An important role for the formation and operation of the Women's Craft School had the Sub-Committee of the Serbian Sisters in Peć, founded in 1919. For the work of the school, besides Sub-Committee, contributed the Municipality of Peć, the Commercial Inspectorate from Skopje and the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Women's craft schools represented an important factor for the general enlightenment of women's youth, both economically and on a humanitarian level. In addition to the professional work at the Women's Craft School, general education subjects were also presented. The pupils who graduated from these schools, given the acquired professional and general knowledge, had the opportunity to perform craft jobs with success.
