Abstract

In this new work, new methods are proposed to solve the (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear perturbed Fokas–Lenells (pFL) equation and abundant solutions are reported. Novel techniques are employed to acquire exact solutions of the (pFL) equation. The current work addresses a variety of forms of a modified exponential rational function method and also other useful distinct schemes. Many variants of traveling wave solutions for the Fokas–Lenells (FL) equation are revealed upon using distinct cases of the proposed methods. Moreover, based on some certain conditions for the related parameters, some new optical modulated solutions, bright solitons and dark solitons are extracted for this equation.
