Abstract
Through analyzing the application status of spark gap detection technology of suspension porcelain insulator string, the variable spark gap detection method and system in view of the high miss rate of fixed spark gap detection method were put forward . The typical data of distributed voltage of each insulator in different types of insulator strings were obtained from simulation calculation and actual measurement. Through the gap discharge test, the gap distance of spark electrode corresponding to different voltage values were obtained. The spark gap detection device with automatic adjustment of electrode gap was used to detect the variable spark gap of suspension porcelain insulator, which can take the methods of manual detection, UAV carrying detection, self climbing or self falling device automatic detection, etc. In the detection process, the spark electrode gap was automatically adjusted. According to the position of the insulator in the string and different distributed voltages, the corresponding spark electrode gap distance was adopted to detect piece by piece, which greatly improves the detection accuracy of low resistance insulators. The use of UAV carrying detection and automatic detection by self climbing or self falling devices can also greatly reduce the labor intensity and safety risk of operators.
