Abstract
The design of an adaptive robust output feedback controller is presented for a class of multi-input multi-output uncertain systems. The proposed output feedback controller uses a variable-structure radial basis function (RBF) network to approximate unknown system dynamics. The output feedback implementation is realized employing a high-gain observer. The structure variation of the RBF network is taken into account in the stability analysis of the closed-loop system using the piecewise quadratic Lyapunov function. The performance of the proposed variable neural adaptive robust output feedback controller is illustrated with simulations.
