Abstract

Objective To observe the value of neuron-specific enolase(NSE), carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), cytokeratin 19 fragment (CYFRA21-1)and Golgiglycoprotein73(GP73) in the diagnosis of lung cancer. Methods Fifty-eight lung cancer patients were selected and divided into three groups of squamous cell carcinoma, adenocar-cinoma and small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC). The levels of CEA, NSE, CYFRA21-1 were detected and analyzed in the three groups and benign lung disease and healthy persons by electrochemiluminescence inmunoassay. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect the level of GP73 in the blood, and the results were statistically analyzed. Results The serum tumor markers in lung cancer group were significantly higher than those in benign lung disease group and normal group (P<0.05); the CEA level in benign lung disease group was higher than that in the normal group. The content of GP73 was the highest in lung cancer group, the sensitivity was 88.21%. Elevated levels of NSE in SCLC was the most obvious, the sensitivity was 83.07%. Increased CYFRA21-1 was given priority to lung squamous carcinoma, the sensitivity was 80.00%. The sensitivity of the four serum tumor markers in lung cancer detection was 72.31%(GP73), 51.29% (CYFRA21-19) and 48.67% (CEA), 39.76% (NSE); the testing areas under the ROC curve of GP73, CEA, NSE and CYFRA21-1 was 0.892±0.042, 0.852±0.050, 0.763±0.061, 0.691±0.067. Conclusions NSE for SCLC, CYFRA21-1 for squamous cell carcinomas, CEA for lung cancer has great auxiliary diagnostic value, but GP73 has highest efficiency on the diagnosis of lung cancer, monitoring GP73 can be beneficial to the early diagnosis of lung cancer.
