Abstract
The latest analysis of U.S. economic data conducted by the Independent Sector (IS) puts the average value of volunteer service in 2021 at $29.95 per hour, an increase of 4.9% from the $28.54 per hour estimate calculated for 2020. According to the IS, this is the fourth straight year of notable increases, going back to a 74 cent increase in 2018 over 2017 values.
