Abstract

Abstract The principal reasons for adequate corrosion protection on pipelines are uninterrupted and efficient operation, preservation of good public relations, avoidance of damage claims from loss of life, lire or property damage, reduction of damage to equipment from corrosion products and full return from money invested in facilities. History of corrosion protection on pipelines is reviewed briefly and credit is given to the corrosion engineer for the substantial savings that have been effected through his efforts. 1.2.1
