Abstract
Cultural heritage management has positioned itself as a subject of study, analysis and public planning in Chile. However, a fundamental part of this discipline, The value analysis relegated remaining scientific analysis and dissociated from the proposals and mechanisms management. The recently completed study “Diagnostico del Patrimonio Cultural de de la Region de Los Rios” has addressed this matter for purposes of proposing an agenda of work in heritage culture for the region over the medium term. This exercise is a reference point and home for specialized research and certainly adds valuable elements the overall process of design and heritage planning.
