Abstract
The new competency by design framework instituted by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, emphasizes resident observation, feedback and documentation. For residency programs in Obstetrics and Gynecology (O&G), there is renewed interest in high quality, objective assessment tools to assess performance. Our study aims to comprehensively review the existing literature on procedure-specific competence assessment tools in O&G.
