Abstract
The concurrent validity of GPAQ was studied in a pilot sample of six Argentine adult subjects. GPAQ results were compared with the heart rate with individual calibration technique. It was found a poor concordance between both techniques in the variable time of moderate to vigorous physical activity and a high correlation between GPAQ and energy expenditure from moderate to vigorous physical activity. It is concluded that GPAQ presents a high concurrent validity with heart rate monitoring only in terms of energy expenditure from moderate to vigorous physical activity. This should be assumed as provisory until larger and more diverse samples are tested.
