Abstract
(Abstracted from Am J Obstet Gynecol 2023;229:599–616.e3) Preterm birth represents a significant burden to both healthcare systems and individuals. Complications resulting from preterm birth are a leading cause of death in newborns in the first weeks of life and account for 36% of all neonatal deaths, increasing the risk of both short- and long-term complications.
