Abstract
It is estimated that around 26,000 people live without a residence permit in Denmark and that 9% of undocumented migrants in Europe are younger than 18 years (1, 2). According to Danish law, undocumented children have the right to same health services including non-acute healthcare as children who are Danish residents. However, in practice this is not possible as routine healthcare requires legal registration with the authorities and also because most Danish healthcare professionals are not aware of how to get financial approval.
