Abstract
Five new multi-component mixtures have been formulated using eutectic like compositions A and B. The eutectic like compositions A and B each consist of fluorinated chiral esters. The electro-optical characteristics of these mixtures have been investigated at various temperatures and frequencies. The mixtures showed proper V-shape transmission profiles in certain frequency and temperature range. The influence of achiral dopants like achiral fluorinated esters and achiral pyrimidines on these mixtures have also been studied. The highest frequency at which V-shape has been obtained is 31 Hz. The tilt angle and the spontaneous polarization have also been measured. These mixtures have high tilt angle. Results and discussion are presented.
