Abstract

Abstract UV–vis absorption spectra of powders of naphthalene and salicylideneaniline were obtained using optical waveguide spectroscopy. It is demonstrated that the optical waveguide spectroscopy is an excellent method for the measurement of UV–vis absorption spectra of powdered materials as they are, without any treatment.
