Abstract

In this paper, the effectiveness of utilizing the relation between root-mean-square phase difference error and instantaneous amplitude ratio value of signals received on spaced near-omnidirectional antennas for increasing phase difference estimation accuracy is considered. Results are obtained via processing the experimental signal measurements, which were received during the autumn period on near-ground centimeter RF paths, where the main obstructions are a forest area and local features. The results of modeling output signals are compatible with the experimental results.
