Abstract
Purpose: Patient-reported outcome measures through ESAS-r and EPIC, branded as Your Symptoms Matter (YSM), are an important tool for patients to report symptoms related to their treatment and to improve their quality of care. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the rate of YSM completion decreased due to the need to minimize the use of high touch surfaces (kiosks), and reduce the number of people in the Cancer Centre, such as supporting volunteers. The aim of this initiative was to implement a Radiation Therapist champion model to improve the completion rate of YSM among patients receiving radiation treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
