Abstract

Abstract It is essential the diversification of energy resources and providing sustainability. Husk of hazelnut seems to be a promising energy source with a capacity of 200,000 tons per year In this work has been presented the features of lignocellulosic biomass as well as the structure and properties of hazelnut husk as biomass. Available and plausible usage areas with possible conversion methods of hazelnut husk into desired fuel category have been mentioned.
