Abstract
Reactions of 6-amino-3-methyl-1,4-diphenyl-1,4-dihydropyrano(2,3-c)pyrazole-5-carbonitrile (1) with a va- riety of reagents leads to the synthesis of pyrano(2,3-c)pyrazole derivatives has been investigated with the aim to explore the use of this exceptionally reactive nitrile in heterocyclic synthesis.
