Abstract

In spring 2020, Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) in Chicago, IL broke ground on Chicago's first permanent Resilient Electric Grid System utilizing high temperature superconductor (HTS) cable after successfully achieving the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approval for the classification of this being a transmission asset.
