Abstract
Transmission policy from the perspective of the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is discussed. A summary is given of the Transmission Task Force's Report to the Commission entitled 'Electricity Transmission Realities, Theory and Policy Alternatives'. The background of FERC developments needed to understand the transmission model the Task Force has drawn up is covered. >
