Abstract

Cannabis is the most consumed drug in Europe, especially among adolescents. In last years, several studies have demonstrated that its use is increased in pregnancy and this could be a risk factor for the onset of neurodevelopmental disorders in offspring. Moreover, it is well known that low birth weight and preterm labour are associated with Cannabis use in pregnancy. We present the case of a newborn, small for gestational age, with a meconium aspiration syndrome and acute neurologic signs, whose mother used Cannabis during pregnancy.
