Abstract
This action research sought to determine the effectiveness of the VARK Model Learning Style and its impact on participants’ achievement in an online Laudato Si module in Cagayan de Oro’s Archdiocese Catechetical Ministry. Using diagnostic and achievement test results, the researcher determined if this method improved learning performance. The data was categorized, tabulated, and analyzed using the mean, standard deviation, and t-test. Mean and standard deviation were used to compare control and experimental groups, and the t-test was used to compare pretest and posttest scores. Both groups improved after completing the online module. As a result, the experimental group outperformed the control group. The control group’s pre- and post-tests differ significantly. Mean and standard deviation differed significantly for the experimental group. Although, the differences in scores between the control and experimental groups are not statistically significant. Identifying their learning style aided the experimental group in comprehending the module that appeared in the data. Overall, VARK Model Learning Style participants improved. The experimental group performed better the control.
