Abstract

Problem. Reformation of the national education system has led to the revision of the content and technologies of teaching foreign languages in Ukrainian educational institutions. The technologies of active and interactive learning, forms and methods of activation and intensification of learning are becoming more relevant. In addition, higher education faces the task of forming a socially developed personality, capable of self-realization and active interaction with others. The use of training technologies in the process of foreign language learning in non-linguistic higher educational institutions can contribute to solving the problem. Goal. The goal is to analyze the experience of using training technologies in teaching foreign language in higher educational institutions in different areas and to characterize the main types of training technologies that are appropriate to use in non-linguistic ones. Methodology . The analytical and comparative methods of research on using training technologies in teaching foreign language were used. Results. The characteristics of the main training types that can be applied in teaching foreign language in institution of higher education are presented. The functional features of multi-functional road panels of pavement are revealed and their scheme on the roadway is presented. The training construction scheme and characteristics of the main methods used in the training technologies are given. Originality . It has been found out that the experience of using training technologies in foreign language learning and teaching shows a big difference in specific forms and methods applied for institutions of different professional areas. Selection and use of certain training technologies largely depends on the future professional sphere of students and their year of study. Practical value. The use of the proposed classification and characteristics of training technologies will make easier for foreign language teachers to select and apply some appropriate forms and methods, depending on the year of study and future professional sphere of their students.
