Using Presure Filters to Remove Metals

Abstract

This article describes the experience Warren County Water and Sewer Department had with three horizontal pressure filters, each 10 feet in diameter by 10 feet long and containing two separate cells above a common effluent chamber. Each cell is backwashed separately, and sand is the only filter media.
