Abstract
The author describes an innovative, timesaving, enjoyable, and effective way to teach staff and students to shelve items correctly using Library of Congress Playing Cards (LCPC). Appendices include eight basic Library of Congress classification concepts, illustrations of the playing cards, tables of call numbers, and a proposed study to measure the effectiveness of LCPC use.
