Abstract
Spectroscopic assays are typically utilized to study oxidoreductase enzyme kinetics, mechanisms, and inhibition. This talk will discuss the use of mediated and direct bioelectrocatalysis for studying kinetics followed by a thorough study of the effect of mediators in studying inhibition mechanisms. This will be followed up with strategies for studying mechanisms via direct bioelectrocatalysis. The talk will conclude with a discussion of the applications of these electroanalytical techniques in the fields of energy, sensing, and sustainable manufacturing.
