Abstract

The subject of the research is processes of running industrial enterprises in the context of integration into the digital economy. The rapid growth of information volumes, data complexity and diversity of data sources with the parallel increase in the value of information create the need for essentially new methods of managing industrial enterprises. The purpose of the research was to study the tools of the digital economy in terms of their contribution to the efficient operation of industrial enterprises. The research was necessitated by the fact that, by its economic nature, the manufacturing industry is more inert than other industries. The introduction of technologies and tools of the digital economy in practices of industrial enterprises generates the need to take into account the specifics of production processes, the existing technical infrastructure, the composition and structure of production facilities. Moreover, industrial systems are becoming more sophisticated. Despite the increased number of components, they have to maintain high fault tolerance levels and performance indicators and need a flexible and dynamic structure that ensures the operation with one or more parts failing and the redistribution of tasks in real time. The paper concludes that the introduction of digital economy tools by industrial enterprises is essential for production process optimization, improving the quality of products and services, and ensuring transparency in the management of an industrial enterprise.
